We may collect the following information when you use DupeUGC:

  • Account information: Email address when you join our waitlist or contact us
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction with our service
  • Content data: Text prompts and generation parameters you submit
  • Communication data: Messages or support requests you send to us

2. Image Storage

Important: DupeUGC does not store your images on our servers.

  • Generated images are downloaded directly to your device
  • Your image history is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB)
  • If you clear your browser data or lose access to your browser session, your image history will be permanently lost
  • We do not keep copies of generated images on our servers
  • We may render low-resolution thumbnails in your active browser session to help display your history, but we do not store these on our servers

When you upload reference images, they are transmitted to our third-party AI model provider solely to generate results for your session. We do not retain those uploads after the response is returned.

3. Data We May Store

While we do not routinely store your images, we reserve the right to collect and store:

  • IP addresses for security and rate limiting purposes
  • Email addresses submitted to the waitlist form, along with associated IP addresses
  • Text prompts and generation parameters for service improvement and abuse prevention
  • Usage analytics and interaction data (including through Vercel Analytics)
  • If paid features become available, we may receive payment identifiers from our payment processor (we do not store full payment card information)

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To communicate with you about updates or issues
  • To prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To improve our service and develop new features
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where applicable, we process your data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), and consent (for optional communications where required).

6. Third-Party Services and AI Processing

We use third-party services to operate DupeUGC, including cloud hosting, analytics, database storage, and AI model providers (such as Google Gemini). Your prompts, reference images, and generation parameters may be sent to these providers so they can process your requests. Do not submit sensitive personal data or confidential content in prompts or uploads.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, store your image history locally, and analyze usage. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage logs are typically retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.
